Wes Thomas eyes Birmingham City stay

Birmingham City's loanee striker Wes Thomas is hoping to join the club from Bournemouth on a permanent deal.

Loanee striker Wes Thomas has revealed that he would like to make his move to Birmingham City a permanent one.

The 26-year-old agreed a six-month stint with the Blues on transfer deadline day from League One outfit Bournemouth.

Having had one outing for his new employers, Thomas has expressed his eagerness to remain at St Andrew's beyond the end of the current campaign.

"It comes down to how I perform. Hopefully I can put in the results to win a contract here," he said. "I would be buzzing if I was able to stay here.

"I think if this club can sort out the problems it's got, it would be a massive club to sign for."

Thomas spent the first half of the season with Blackpool, where he scored three goals.
