Four goals shared between Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg

Borussia Monchengladbach lose their 100% Bundesliga home record as another in-form side, Wolfsburg, earn a late point.

In-form sides Borussia Monchengladbach and Wolfsburg extended their unbeaten Bundesliga runs to eight and nine games respectively by drawing 2-2 at Borussia-Park this afternoon.

The best chances of the early stages fell to the visitors and predominantly Ivica Olic, who missed the target with just Marc-Andre ter Stegen to beat before firing straight at the highly-rated Monchengladbach keeper.

The hosts had the easiest opportunity in the first half, though, when Patrick Herrmann crossed for Max Kruse, who managed to turn the ball over the top.

Wolfsburg took the lead in the 53rd minute when Diego managed to stab home on the stretch after Monchengladbach had failed to clear their lines.

The visitors, though, soon fell behind thanks to a pair of long-range strikes from Monchengladbach.

First, Raffael danced his way into the box and finished powerfully, before Juan Arango pinged a 30-yard free kick into the top corner.

Monchengladbach were looking to make it nine wins from nine home games this season but lost the 100% record as Bas Dost poached a goal with five minutes left on the clock.

Lucien Favre's side climb above Borussia Dortmund into third place, while Wolfsburg are fifth, three points further back.
