Ian Holloway: 'Emile Heskey not interested in Blackpool'

Emile Heskey had no intentions of moving to Blackpool this summer, according to manager Ian Holloway.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has confirmed that former Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey is "not interested" in joining the Championship club.

The ex-England international was linked with a move to the Seasiders but reports emerged today claiming that the 34-year-old had turned down the chance to move to Bloomfield Road.

"Unfortunately he has got other things in the pipeline and he is not interested in coming to us," Sky Sports News quotes Holloway as saying. "So that is dead and buried."

Heskey was released from Villa Park at the end of the season.
