Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has praised the contribution of Kevin Phillips after the veteran striker scored twice in Wednesday's 3-3 draw at home to Leicester City.

The 38-year-old gave his side a 1-0 lead before his injury-time equaliser earned a valuable a point for the Seasiders.

Phillips now has four goals in his last two games, following Saturday's brace against Brighton & Hove Albion.

"It doesn't matter how old you are as long as your heart and legs are willing," Holloway told Sky Sports News.

"He knew this summer that my team creates chances. His game is about positioning and he positions himself in areas where he will get a chance if the ball comes there, he reads it.

"Maybe I'd have to look at why I haven't played him so much. Maybe I should have started him even more, because if he ends the game as strong as that he's played Saturday and Wednesday - why would I need to take him off?"

The point has moved Blackpool up into fifth place in the Championship table.
