Blackpool's Jose Miguel Cubero withdraws from Costa Rica squad

Blackpool midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero pulls out of Costa Rica's latest squad because of an ankle injury sustained last week.

Blackpool midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero has pulled out of Costa Rica's squad for their upcoming internationals because of an ankle injury.

The 27-year-old will stay with the Seasiders and not be available for the games against Oman and South Korea.

He picked up the knock in his second appearance for Blackpool against Middlesbrough last week and is now targeting a return in the Championship club's next game against Huddersfield Town.

Cubero becomes the second English-based player to pull out of the Costa Rica squad after Everton left-sider Bryan Oviedo also withdrew yesterday.
