Blackpool are being held to a goalless draw by Watford at half time in this afternoon's Championship match at Bloomfield Road

Blackpool and Watford are goalless at half time in this afternoon's Championship match at Bloomfield Road.

Ricardo Fuller had a chance in the opening moments for the home side but his header was saved by Manuel Almunia.

Troy Deeney forced Blackpool keeper Matt Gilks to push his fierce effort over the bar.

Deeny was again denied by Gilks minutes later as he saw his penalty saved by the keeper after Almen Abdi was brought down by Neal Bishop.

Watford's keeper came to his side's rescue yet again when he denied Gabriele Angella after a free kick had fallen to the Blackpool defender.

Diego Fabbrini hit the woodwork twice for the visitors in the closing minutes of the half but could not make the breakthrough.
