Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Alex Marrow signs for Carlisle United

Carlisle United bring in former Blackburn midfielder Alex Marrow on a one-year deal.

Carlisle United have signed former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Alex Marrow on a one-year contract.

The 24-year-old recently left Rovers by mutual consent following a second spell at the club.

Marrow spent the second part of last season on loan at Fleetwood Town, helping them to gain promotion to League One.

His previous clubs include Crystal Palace, Oldham Athletic and Preston North End.

Carlisle start their League Two campaign at home to Luton Town on August 9.
