Christopher Samba's recent transfer request could lead to Scott Dann doing the same thing at Blackburn Rovers.

Scott Dann is seeking a move away from Blackburn Rovers, according to Sky Sports News.

The centre-back only joined Rovers in August 2011 from Birmingham City for a fee believed to be around £6m.

However, it has been claimed that Dann agreed to sign on at Ewood Park having received assurances that fellow defender Christopher Samba would not be sold this season.

Earlier today Samba submitted a transfer request, a decision which may lead Dann to do the same thing.

Alex McLeish, who managed Dann during his time with Birmingham, is said to be keen on taking him to Aston Villa.
