Championship club-by-club transfer latest: June 17

Sports Mole looks back on the past seven days' transfer activity in the Championship.

Following our first club-by-club transfer roundup last week, Sports Mole runs the rule over the done deals, gossip and more from the past seven days in the Championship.

Birmingham City

Lee Clark has been one of the busiest managers in the off-season and since last Tuesday has added three more players to his ranks, making it six new arrivals already this summer. David Edgar, below, Gavin Gunning and Wes Thomas have become the newest Blues.

It looks as if the St Andrew's side will also be poaching Clayton Donaldson from newly-promoted Brentford, while youngster Viv Solomon-Otabor has signed a new deal.

Blackburn Rovers

Gary Bowyer is still yet to bring any new faces to Ewood Park, but he has been boosted by the news that David Dunn isn't ready to retire quite yet. The veteran midfielder's contract is up this summer, but he showed last season that he can still play a key role.

Rovers won't be bringing in as many players as they did last summer - 14 - Bowyer has insisted.

Blackpool

Since last Tuesday, the Tangerines have confirmed former Charlton Athletic boss Jose Riga as their new manager.

Although yet to make a purchase, Riga is believed to be interested in bringing centre-back Michael Morrison with him from the Addicks.

Bolton Wanderers

After tying up four signings in May, the Trotters have been fairly quiet since. They will soon have a new young goalkeeper though as 20-year-old Ross Fitzsimons will join the club from Crystal Palace on July 1.

Bournemouth

Replacing Lewis Grabban, who was snatched by Norwich City, remains a priority for Eddie Howe and the Cherries are still linked with Coventry City's Callum Wilson, below left. Howe has admitted that there could be interest in more of his players and one that they don't want to lose is Steve Cook, who could be offered a new contract.

On the way out is Matt Tubbs, with Wimbledon signing him on loan for the entirety of next season.

Brentford

With Birmingham sniffing a move for Donaldson, Mark Warburton and the Bees are another club to be linked with a move for Coventry's Wilson.

Brighton & Hove Albion

New Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia is yet to make a move in the market, but he is said to be one of a number of managers eyeing a loan deal for Chelsea's Islam Feruz.

One player that the Finn is desperate to keep is Leonardo Ulloa, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Leicester City.

Cardiff City

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed one player in the past week, nabbing Kagisho Dikgacoi from Crystal Palace.

Fraizer Campbell and Gary Medel look set to leave, with Leicester and Valencia respectively believed to be interested in the duo. If Campbell does depart, then Solskjaer could look to win the race for Leeds's hotshot Ross McCormack, who topped the division's scoring charts last season.

Charlton Athletic

New Addicks boss Bob Peeters looks set to sign his first player after it was announced earlier today that a fee had been agreed with Copenhagen for the transfer of Igor Vetokele.

One man who could be on his way is the aforementioned Morrison, who is thought to have attracted interest from several clubs with his contract about to expire.

Derby County

The Rams continue to be linked with former loanee George Thorne, but it looks like West Brom are holding firm on their no-sale policy. Steve McClaren is another manager said to be considering a loan move for Chelsea's Feruz.

Back-up goalkeeper Adam Legzdins, meanwhile, has moved to Leyton Orient in search of first-team football.

Fulham

The Cottagers have signed promising young defender Shaun Hutchinson, below, from Motherwell and are also one of the several clubs looking to prise McCormack away from Leeds.

Young forward Marcello Trotta, who has spent the last two seasons on loan with Brentford, could be on his way to Italy.

Huddersfield Town

The Terriers swooped for their first signing of the summer earlier today, bringing in Republic of Ireland keeper Joe Murphy on a free transfer.

Ipswich Town

It's been a slow summer at Portman Road so far, but Mick McCarthy isn't concerned. He's said that he's happy to wait to do his business and appears to have a particular emphasis on loans from the Premier League.

One player that McCarthy is believed to be looking at is Leyton Orient frontman David Mooney.

Leeds United

Two stories dominate the news from Elland Road at the moment. Will the Whites be able to keep McCormack? And who will be their new manager?

Several clubs have been linked with a move for McCormack, who scored 28 goals last season. Dave Hockaday is the new favourite for the manager's job and could be announced as early as tomorrow, according to the Yorkshire Post.

Middlesbrough

Aitor Karanka is yet to do any business, but the club continue to be linked with defenders and Charlton's Morrison is believed to be one of those.

Plenty of interest is expected in some of the Canaries' best players after their relegation from the top flight. One being heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League is goalkeeper John Ruddy.

If the 27-year-old does move on, then Norwich could look to Italy and Empoli stopper Davide Bassi.

Nottingham Forest

After some prolonged talks, Forest have finally completed the signing of Lars Veldwijk.

New boss Stuart Pearce will want to keep the core of his squad intact, but one man possibly leaving is young stopper Karl Darlow, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Tottenham Hotspur.

Reading

It's been fairly quiet at the Madejski this summer with the club after new investment. According to reports, the club could be close to a Thai purchase.

The Royals are one of the clubs said to be interested in both Coventry's Wilson and Feruz of Chelsea.

Rotherham United

After a bumper few weeks of transfer action, Rotherham have done just one deal in the past week to take their overall summer tally to six. Mat Sadler is the new Miller.

Sheffield Wednesday

Although Wednesday confirmed their new owner last week, no business has yet been done by Hafiz Mammadov as he needs to pass the Football League's owners and directors' test.

The club are hopeful that Chris Kirkland, above, defenders Glenn Loovens and Oguchi Onyewu and midfielder Jose Semedo will sign new contracts that have been offered to them. Goalkeeper Adam Davies, meanwhile, has left to join fellow Yorkshire club Barnsley.

Watford

Lloyd Dyer has arrived as expected from Leicester City on a three-year deal in the only arrival of the past seven days at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets also expect there to be plenty of interest in highly-rated forward Troy Deeney.

Wigan Athletic

Uwe Rosler doesn't look like he's been very busy as his squad is full of talent and there is also players who have been injured due to return for the start of the season.
