Sports Mole previews the Championship match between unbeaten Charlton Athletic and strugglers Birmingham City.

Charlton Athletic hold an unbeaten record in the Championship this season as they host Birmingham City in the league this weekend.

The Addicks ended a run of three successive draws with a 1-0 win over Norwich City in the week, moving them up to sixth in the table.

Joseph Gomez is a doubt for the match after being forced off with injury during the victory at Carrow Road.

One player who will definitely be absent is Tal Ben Haim, as the club have confirmed that the defender has been given the match off since he will be fasting the day before the match for religious reasons.

Meanwhile, Birmingham head into the match on the back of their first win in the Championship since August, having ended a run of seven matches without a victory earlier this week.

The 3-1 win over Millwall has left the side 20th in the table, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

The visitors are likely to be without Jonathan Spector again after he missed Tuesday's match with a thigh injury, which is expected to keep him out for several weeks.

In both meetings between these two sides last season, the away team secured the win.
