Franck Ribery reveals that Pep Guardiola's tactics are "weird" and admits that Bayern Munich will need time to adapt.

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has described new coach Pep Guardiola's tactics as "weird."

The former Barcelona boss took over at the Allianz Arena at the start of this month and has already overseen a comprehensive friendly victory.

The France winger, though, has admitted that it will take time to adapt to the system that Guardiola employs.

"The 4-1-4-1 system is weird," Ribery told Bild. "It's new, it's completely different.

"We need to train, talk and learn to perfect it. It's normal that the coach wants to try things."

Guardiola recently confirmed his interest in signing his former Barca midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
