Holger Badstuber makes his first appearance for Bayern Munich since rupturing a cruciate ligament in December 2012.

Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber has returned from injury to play his first match for the club since 2012.

The 25-year-old made his comeback during a pre-season friendly against the Red Baroons fan club.

He played for an hour as the German champions eased to a 3-0 win, thanks to two goals from David Alaba and a strike from Daniel Hagler.

Badstuber's last appearance for Bayern came in December 2012 when he ruptured a cruciate ligament against Borussia Dortmund.

He has played for Bayern for his entire career and has made 30 appearances for the German national side.
