Arjen Robben hoping to return in DFB-Pokal semi-final

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is hopeful that he can return from injury in the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Borussia Dortmund later this month.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has revealed that he is hoping to make his comeback against Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal later this month.

The Dutchman, who has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season, has been out of action since last month after tearing an abdominal muscle, but he is hopeful of being available for selection on April 28 as Pep Guardiola's side continue their bid for a treble.

"In everyday life, there's so much you do that requires a working abdominal muscle. You're not able to get up, sit down or go going to toilet - you're always in pain," Robben told Bild.

"But now, the pains are easing - today I can laugh again. The healing process is going as planned. I can ride a bicycle and, in a few days, I hope that I can go running a little bit.

"I'm working hard for my comeback, though nobody can say when that will be. Personally, I hope that my comeback will be in the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Borussia Dortmund on April 28."
