Xherdan Shaqiri hopes that Bayern Munich can wrap up the league on Saturday in order to focus fully on the Champions League.

Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has urged his teammates to wrap up the Bundesliga title when Hamburger SV visit the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

The Bavarians can wrap up the league with a win if Borussia Dortmund fail to beat Stuttgart away from home.

Shaqiri has said that winning the league as early as possible will allow the players to focus fully on the Champions League.

"For the next tasks it is mentally better if we are already champions," Bild quotes him as saying.

"It would still give us an extra boost for the Champions League. However, it is still not finished."

Bayern take on Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals, with the first leg played in Germany on Tuesday night.
