Dante is pleased that the win over Manchester City has given Bayern Munich a strong chance of qualifying from Group D in first place.

Bayern Munich centre-back Dante has admitted that the 3-1 win away to Manchester City has already put them close to qualifying from Group D.

Dante said that the players are now getting used to Pep Guardiola's style of play, which was proved by the victory over one of the tournament favourites.

"It was a very important win because we know Man City are a very strong team and to get a win here means we're very close to qualifying and hopefully in first place," UEFA.com quotes Dante as saying.

"We're adapting very well [under Guardiola], he's a great person, a great professional. He speaks good German after a short time, and we're all keen to continue evolving with his philosophy."

Bayern's next game in the group is at home to Viktoria Plzen on October 23.
