Bastia played hosts to Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday with both sides looking to mount their claim for a Europa League place.

The home side went into the clash at Stade Armand Cesari unbeaten in their last four matches in the French top tier, while Lyon were looking to get back to winning ways having failed to taste victory in their last three league games.

However, Lyon came from behind to secure all three points on the road.

Good afternoon and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of Ligue 1 action where Bastia host Lyon at Stade Armand Cesari.

Sunday sees some fantastic action in Ligue 1, and this game should be no different as both side's will scrap it out for three points that would move them closer to the Europa League spots.

We've already see Lille's amazing run without conceding a goal come to an end earlier today after losing 1-0 at Bordeaux, and we have more action later on. AS Monaco host Ajaccio in today's evening kick off, while Toulouse vs. Montpellier HSC runs parallel to this clash.

But our attention is on Corsica where Bastia play hosts to Lyon in what should be a very evenly-contested game.

Both sides sit lower than where they feel they should be in the Ligue 1 table, with 11th-placed Bastia sitting two places and three points ahead of Lyon. The pair will have had their eyes on achieving European football at the end of the campaign, so both will do all they can to come out on top today.

Basita go into this match in the better form. They are unbeaten in their last four games, but drew at Ajaccio during the week.

Meanwhile, Lyon haven't managed to pick up a win in three games, and slumped to a draw at the Stade de Gerland to Toulouse on Thursday having been thrashed by champions Paris Saint-Germain last time out.

Right, let's bring you some team news, starting with the hosts.

BASTIA XI: Landreau, Cioni, Modesto, Palmieri, Squillaci, Ba, Cahuzac, Krasic, Raspentino, Romaric, Boudebouz

Frederic Hantz has made two changes to his side following their draw with Ajaccio earlier this week.

Fethi Harek drops to the bench while Wahbi Khazri misses out all together. Adama Ba and Yannick Cahuzac have taken their places in the starting lineup.

Newly-crowned Ligue 1 record appearance holder Mickael Landreau plays his 604th game in the division, while former Arsenal man Sebastien Squillaci also starts.

Here are the substitutes.

BASTIA BENCH: Leca, Harek, Djiku, Barbato, Bruno, Genest, Ilan

So that's what the hosts have to offer, let's take a look at the visitors.

LYON XI: Vercoutre, Bedimo, Kone, Lopes, Umtiti, Ferri, Fofana, Gonalons, Grenier, Benzia, Lacazette

Remi Garde has decided to make three alterations following his side's draw with Toulouse on Thursday.

Milan Bisevac, Steed Malbranque and Bafetimbi Gomis all miss out on a spot in the starting team, with Bakary Kone, Jordan Ferri and Yassine Benzia coming in.

And here is what Garde has at his disposal on the bench.

LYON BENCH: Gorgelin, Bisevac, Danic, Gourcuff, Plea, Tolisso, Gomis

So those are the two teams, and we're just a few minutes away from kick off.

The two teams are out at Stade Armand Cesari, and we're ready to get underway.

Bastia are wearing their all-blue home strip and attacking to the left, while Lyon in their all-red away kit are playing from left to right.

KICKOFF! Bastia get the match underway.

Not a lot to report in the opening minutes of the match, lyon have had more of the ball though.

Grenier has the chance to put a free kick into the box from out on the right touchline, but he sweeps it too far ahead of his teammates, and it bounces out for a goal kick. That's a bit of a shame for them really because it was a fairly decent ball into a dangerous area from Grenier.

Bastia are starting to get their foot on the ball a bit more now, but we are still awaiting the game's first significant chance.

Nearly an opportunity for Bastia as Raspentino brings a high ball down from the sky, but his second touch is just a tad too heavy, and Vercoutre can come and collect the ball on the slide.

The referee just has a quick word with Benzia and Palmieri following a spate of pushing and shoving in the box during the wait for a corner.

The games pace is a bit slow at the moment. I'm sure that one really testing effort on goal will liven things up a bit.

Ahh that's a real waste from Fofana. Lyon go on the attack and, following some good work running inside by Lacazette, the ball is shifted to Fofana on the left of the box. He takes a touch forward and goes to cross it to the far post, but he skews it over the bar.

SCORE UPDATE: Montpellier have just gone in front at Toulouse thanks to a goal from Souleymane Camara.

CLOSE! Bastia nearly go in front with a huge assist from the visitors. Kone inexplicably knocks the ball across the face of his own penalty area under pressure, and it falls straight to the feet of Krasic. He hits it first time, but his low shot fizzes across goal and wide of the far post.

There is a portion of the home crowd donning long, blonde wigs in homage to Bastia's Milos Krasic. They look brilliant to say the least.

CLOSE! Now it's Lyon's turn to have a go at finding an opener. Lacazette has the ball in the centre of the Bastia half, before sliding it into the path of Benzia on the left of the box. He takes a touch towards the byline and tries to ping a shot across goal and into the far corner, but his low effort just shaves the post.

Both sides are starting to create chances now, but neither are looking too clinical in front of goal.

We've got a break in play at the moment as Boudebouz receives treatment following a foul from Gonalons.

YELLOW CARD Gonalons, the Lyon captain, goes into the book following that challenge.

GOAL! Bastia 1-0 Lyon (Florian Raspentino)

And we have lift off. Bastia take the lead after Palmieri runs down the left and floats in a superb cross to the far post, where Raspentino is on hand to slot in the opener.

That might just be the goal we needed to spark this game into life. Bastia have got their tails up now and are attacking the Lyon end at every opportunity.

Raspentino has a half chance under pressure from just inside the box, but he prods the ball wide with the outside of his boot.

Bastia are looking comfortable at the moment, Lyon are struggling to keep hold of the ball, and when they do have they can't seem to do anything practical with it.

Benzia is writhing in pain on the floor after going down under a pretty innocent challenge from Cahuzac. Free kick goes to Lyon though.

Chance for Grenier to whip this one into the box just before half time.

CHANCE! It's a great cross from Grenier into the danger zone, but Fofana cannot get enough contact on it.

HALF TIME: Bastia 1-0 Lyon

There goes the referee's whistle, and Florian Raspentino's goal is what separates the two sides at the moment. It's been largely deserved as well, with Lyon failing to create anything too significant.

Let's take a look at the half-time stats.

Match statistics:

Basta:
Shots 6

Possession 52%
Corners 0
Fouls 5

Lyon:
Shots 2

Possession 48%
Corners 1
Fouls 7

In the other live game at the moment, Montpellier are leading Toulouse 1-0.

The two teams are back out on the pitch, and we're not far away from the second half.

KICKOFF! Lyon, playing from right to left, get the second half up an running.

Scrappy start to the second half, neither side can get hold of possession for long enough to do anything just yet.

Lyon whip a good low pass across the face of goal from Umtiti, but it's just too far ahead of Benzia. The striker is claiming that he was pushed in the back, but the referee isn't having any of it.

GOAL! Bastia 1-1 Lyon (Alexandre Lacazette)

There's the leveller, and it's Alexandre Lacazette with it. He's well in form at the moment and nets his fourth goal on the road this season by slamming home a shot across goal from the left of the area and into the far corner.

YELLOW CARD Adama Ba goes into the book for bringing down Bedimo from behind.

GOAL! Bastia 1-2 Lyon (Yassine Benzia)

What a turnaround we've had here, and in the blink of an eye, Lyon are in front. Grenier coasts to the edge of the box and dinks a beautifully-weighted chip to the far post, where Benzia gets above his marker to head into the back of the net.

BASTIA CHANGE The hosts have brought on a striker in the form of Ilan, with Cioni the defender going off. Bastia are going for it.

I don't know what Garde said to his players at half time but it sure has worked. Lacazette races into the box and is bundled over by a combination of Bastia defenders, but the fact that he went down a bit early may not have helped him there.

Lyon still in control at the moment, but the game is getting a bit scrappy as Bastia desperately try to fight for a leveller.

BASTIA CHANGE Adama Ba is replaced by Gianni Bruno. Bastia throwing another striker on.

Gonalons is down after taking a whack to the face, but he looks as if he'll be able to soldier on.

Lyon have improved an enormous amount in this second half. They've been solid at the back and always look dangerous when on the counter. They're allowing Bastia to come at them in search of an equaliser currently before hitting them back on the break.

YELLOW CARD Cahuzac goes into the book for a late challenge.

LYON CHANGE It's the man who put them ahead Yassine Benzia who is being sacrificed, with Bafetimbi Gomis being called upon.

SCORE UPDATE There's been an equaliser in an event-packed other game as Toulouse make it 1-1 against Montpellier.

It's just dawned on me that I missed a yellow card being awarded to Palmieri just after Cahuzac was booked during a spate of protests from the home team.

YELLOW CARD Bruno goes into the book for a needless foul on Umtiti. Bastia are continuing to be frustrated by Lyon.

LYON CHANGE Jordan Ferri has come off, with Tolisso entering the fray.

Lyon are looking fairly comfortable at the moment, Bastia just cannot seem to create an opportunity.

GOAL! Bastia 1-3 Lyon (Bafetimbi Gomis)

That's that then. Gomis seals the win for Lyon after tapping in from the edge of the six-yard box after lovely work by Bedimo.

RED CARD! It goes from bad to worse for the hosts as Cahuzac is shown a second yellow card for a dangerous challenge.

LYON CHANGE Lacazette is taken off and replaced by Danic.

There will be three minutes of added time.

FULL TIME: Bastia 1-3 Lyon

What a turnaround at the Stade Armand Cesari. Bastia were in total control at the break with Lyon offering very little, but Les Gones rallied after the break to earn the win.

Raspentino gave Bastia the lead at half time, but goals from Lacazette, Benzia and Gomis have earned Lyon the win.

Before I go, let's take a look at the full-time stats.

Match statistics:

Basta:
Shots 6
On target 2
Possession 49%
Corners 0
Fouls 13

Lyon:
Shots 8
On target 3
Possession 51%
Corners 1
Fouls 13

That's it from me for this game, but I'll be back at 7.30pm to bring you AS Monaco vs. Ajaccio. Cheerio.
