David Flitcroft disappointed with defeat against Blackburn Rovers

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft is unhappy with his side following their 5-2 defeat against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft was disappointed with his side following their 5-2 defeat in the Championship against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

The visitors took an early lead through Chris Dagnall but Jean-Yves Mvoto was sent off soon after, which proved to be the turning point of the game as Rovers took full advantage.

"We've come here with a game plan and system we wanted to execute. We did it for the first 15 minutes. That plan was working, but that plan hinged on having 11 men on the pitch," the club's official website quotes him as saying.

"The first goal, the execution is excellent, we can't stop it. But we'll go through, player by player, why we've conceded four more goals. The goals were soft. I can't really find any positives after that."

Barnsley host Southampton in the League Cup on August 27.
