Barnsley end the first half strongly at Pride Park but go into the break goalless against in-form Derby County.

Barnsley have held in-form Derby County during the first half at Pride Park with a resolute display.

Nigel Clough's side began the search for back-to-back wins for the first time since April brightly when Conor Sammon drove over the crossbar.

Richard Keogh also threatened for the home side, dropping off into dangerous areas behind the Barnsley midfield.

The visitors grew in confidence during the opening period and looked dangerous down the right-hand side.

Jacob Mellis came closest for the visitors but his volley flew wide on the half-hour.

Tomasz Cywka had the final chance of the first half but could not prevent a stalemate going into the break.
