A report claims that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has blocked a potential loan exit for Oliver Torres.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has reportedly blocked Oliver Torres leaving the club on loan.

The 19-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in European football, has worked his way into the capital outfit's first-team squad this season.

It had been suggested that the Spanish side would let the attacker move on loan for the remainder of the season, but according to AS, Simeone wants Torres to play a key role in 2014.

It is believed that Barcelona have first refusal on the youngster, who has represented Spain at Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels.
