Goals from Michael Krohn-Dehli and Vicente Iborra saw Sevilla beat Barcelona 2-1 in La Liga on Saturday.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 52nd minute through Krohn-Dehli, before the Dane turned provider for Iborra as Sevilla shocked an under-par Barcelona.

Luis Enrique's side had one back from the penalty spot in the 74th minute through Neymar, but could not find an equaliser as the Catalan outfit missed the chance to return to the top of La Liga.

SEVILLA

Goal

Fran Rico: Made some super saves in the first period as Sevilla came under pressure, while the Spaniard was also solid late on when Barcelona were desperately searching for a leveller. (8/10)

Defence

Coke: Caused Barcelona a number of problems in the first period as he broke from right-back, but the skipper was even more important in the second half when he switched to defensive mode. (7/10)

Marco Andreolli: Might have opened the scoring in the first half after meeting a free kick from Krohn-Dehli, but headed wide from close range. Down the other end, he was dependable. (7/10)

Timothee Kolodziejczak: Set the tone for Sevilla when he made an excellent block to deny Luis Suarez in the first period. Was nice and solid in central defence for the home team. (7/10)

Benoit Tremoulinas: Was a real threat going forward for long stages of the match, but his work at the other end - including a wonderful tackle on Sandro Ramirez - made it such a good display. (8/10)

Midfield

Grzegorz Krychowiak: His form last season led to talk of a move to Arsenal, but he has started this season slowly. This was much more like it, however, as he controlled the game from midfield. (8/10)

Steven N'Zonzi: Was not always involved in terms of possession, but the former Stoke midfielder proved a good shield for his defence. Used his physically to interrupt Barcelona's passing. (7/10)

Vicente Iborra: Did a good job of protecting his back four in the first period, but the midfielder's biggest contribution came in the second half when he scored with a towering header. (7/10)

Attack

Michael Krohn-Dehli: Man-of-the-match performance from the Dane, who opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, before setting up Iborra six minutes later. Was a real thorn in Barcelona's side. (9/10)

Kevin Gameiro: Struggled to make his mark in the first 45 minutes, but caused all sorts of problems early in the second half. Was the Frenchman's excellent run and cross that set up Sevilla's first. (7/10)

Vitolo: Another that has just struggled to hit the heights of last season this time around, but he was a threat here with his movement and ability to carry the ball at pace. (7/10)

Substitutes

Jose Antonio Reyes: Replaced the scorer of the second goal, Iborra, for the final 20 minutes, but the club captain could not stem the flow of pressure late on as Barcelona dominated. (6/10)

Fernando Llorente: Will have been disappointed not to have started, but his only real contribution to the match in the final 20 minutes was to pick up a yellow card. (6/10)

Mariano: Replaced the injured Tremoulinas in the 89th minute. (6/10)

BARCELONA

Goal

Claudio Bravo: Made a couple of decent saves and cannot really be blamed for either Sevilla goal. Was not given much protection by his back four for long spells of the match. (6/10)

Defence

Sergi Roberto: Was one of Barcelona's brighter players in the first period as he caused problems from right-back, before being moved into a midfield position in the second half. (6/10)

Gerard Pique: Has not played much league football this season due to a domestic ban and the Spaniard was a little off the pace here. Again suffered jeers from opposing supporters. (6/10)

Jeremy Mathieu: Had a bit of a stinker. Never looked comfortable under pressure from Kevin Gameiro and went to sleep on both Sevilla goals. Was subbed off for the final 30 minutes. (5/10)

Jordi Alba: Was heavily involved in the final 30 minutes as Barcelona attempted to get back into the game, but Sevilla's first goal came from Alba's side of the field. (6/10)

Midfield

Ivan Rakitic: Struggled to make his mark against his former club. Was neat and tidy in possession of the ball, but never really threatened to take the game by the scruff of its neck. (6/10)

Sergio Busquets: Was the skipper for the afternoon in the absence of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta. Did his usual role, but the Barcelona midfield in general lacked that creative spark. (6/10)

Javier Mascherano: Was moved into a central midfield role for his match, but the Argentine did not look comfortable. Never threatened to break forward, even late on when Barca were pressing. (6/10)

Attack

Munir El-Haddadi: Had a decent chance to open the scoring in the early stages, but fired over the crossbar. Struggled after the break and was replaced for the final 30 minutes. (5/10)

Luis Suarez: Curled one onto the crossbar in the latter stages of the first period, but it was not the striker's best day. Always a threat with his movement, but lacked that killer touch. (6/10)

Neymar: Hit the post with a super free kick in the first period, but the Brazilian missed a couple of good chances. Scored from the spot though and was probably Barcelona's best on the afternoon. (7/10)

Substitutes

Sandro Ramirez: Had a wonderful chance to level the scores in the latter stages, but could only rattle the post from close range. Was bright and inventive during his 30-minute appearance. (6/10)

Dani Alves: Will have been disappointed not to have started, but the right-back did not see much of the ball late on as the majority of Barcelona attacks came down the other side. (6/10)
