Barcelona midfielder Alex Song has claimed that he was content with his team's performance in Saturday's 7-0 win over Valerenga Fotball.

New Catalan coach Gerardo Martino was in the stands for the pre-season friendly clash, with Song admitting that it will be an interesting few weeks before the La Liga campaign gets underway.

"The new manager watched the game and we'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks. I think we played well today," he told the club's official website.

Song joined Barcelona from Arsenal in 2012.
