Pepe Reina flattered to be linked with Barcelona

Pepe Reina admits that he is flattered by reports linking him with a move to Barcelona.

Pepe Reina has admitted that he is happy to be repeatedly linked with a move to Barcelona.

The Spanish goalkeeper, who is currently on loan at Napoli from Liverpool, is believed to be high on a list of possible replacements for Victor Valdes.

Despite seeing Barcelona given a transfer ban by FIFA earlier this week, Reina claims that he is flattered to be considered good enough to move to the Catalan club.

"It pleases me that they're speaking of me as a possible Barcelona goalkeeper, but now it's difficult to speak about what will happen," the 31-year-old told Onda Cero.

"I'm happy at Napoli. We're facing the end of the season trying to reach second place, even if now it will be difficult. But we will not let up."

Barcelona will appeal against the ban, which would prevent them from signing or selling any players in the next two transfer windows.
