Barcelona striker Lionel Messi has admitted that he could end his career in his native Argentina.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner signed a two-year contract extension with the Spanish giants earlier today, but is refusing to rule out a return to his homeland.
"I have said it before, in Europe I'd like to end my career at Barca," he told Barcelona's official website.
"I wouldn't consider moving to another European club. With that said, I'm not ruling out the possibility of ending my playing career in Argentina."
Messi also expressed his delight at extending his Barcelona stay until 2018, reiterating that he is "very happy" at the La Liga leaders.
