Dani Alves: "I will not retire at Barcelona"

Barcelona full-back Dani Alves reveals that he intends to end his career in his native Brazil.

Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has revealed that he intends to end his career in his native Brazil.

The 30-year-old, whose current contract at the Camp Nou is due to expire in June 2015, has plied his trade in Spain since 2003.

However, Alves is keen to return to hometown club Bahia before he retires.

"I am not considering retiring at Barcelona because I want to end my career where I started it - at Bahia," Alves told reporters.

"It would be hypocritical to suggest that I might retire at Barca, because that's not really an option. Bahia is where I first got my big break.

"I want to keep on playing here for many more years, but I will not retire at Barcelona."

Alves has won four La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues since joining Barca from Sevilla in 2008.
