Xavi has said that Barcelona "deserved a draw" during their Champions League match against Atletico Madrid this evening.
Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Camp Nou, Koke scored just six minutes into tonight's second leg, securing Atletico's first semi-final appearance for 40 years.
The 34-year-old told reporters: "I do not know if Atletico deserved this win. We have had several chances to get the draw, we had four or five chances that usually we score. I think we deserved the draw, sending the game into overtime."
This is the first time that Barcelona have missed out on reaching the semi-finals since the 2006-07 season.
