Barcelona complain to UEFA over fans' treatment after Champions League final

Barcelona are left unhappy with the treatment of their supporters flying back from Berlin, insisting that "minimum services expected" were not provided.

Barcelona have lodged a complaint to UEFA over the poor facilities provided by German authorities for supporters flying back to Spain after Saturday's Champions League final.

The Catalan club beat Juventus 3-1 at the Olympiastadion to secure an historic treble triumph, but some fans were left angry by their treatment at the Berlin Exhibition Centre when travelling back in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is claimed by Barcelona that "minimum services expected at an airport" were not sufficiently provided, with disabled spectators particularly affected.

"Barcelona have filed a formal complaint to UEFA claiming that the Berlin authorities have breached conditions set out for members and club fans leaving the German capital this morning," a statement on the Spanish side's official website read.

It is estimated that more than 5,000 supporters were leaving from Schoenefeld airport, which is home to the Berlin Exhibition Centre.
