Half-Time Report: Rubin Okotie gives Austria slender lead

Austria hold a slender 1-0 lead over Montenegro at half time in their Euro 2016 qualification match at the Ernst Happel Stadion.

Rubin Okotie's 24th-minute strike has given Austria a slender 1-0 lead over Montenegro at half time in their Euro 2016 qualification match.

Nemanja Nikolic managed to get away the first real attempt of the game, striking a solid right-foot shot which ended narrowly over the bar.

It was the home side who took the lead shortly after, however, as Okotie found the bottom corner of the net from inside the box to give Austria the breakthrough.

Eight minutes before the interval Simon Vukcevic was provided with a good chance to level up the contest, but he was unable to find the target with his header.

The final chance of the half fell the way of Zlatko Junuzovic, who forced Vukasin Poleksic into making a fine save to ensure that the scoreline remained tight going into the interval.
