Preview: Sevilla vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole previews the La Liga showdown between Sevilla and last year's champions Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid travel to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday evening knowing that they require three points to retain hope of defending their La Liga title.

Last year's champions overcame a slow start to close the gap on Real Madrid and Barcelona, but despite five wins from six games, a 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo has left Diego Simeone's team seven points adrift of the leaders.

Simeone will be without Koke, who is still nursing a hamstring injury, while Guilherme Siqueira is sidelined through suspension.

Striker Fernando Torres is likely to remain on the bench, despite being unfortunate not to score against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League in midweek.

Sevilla are unbeaten in 12 home league games this season, but four defeats in six fixtures have hindered their attempts to secure a top-four place.

Coach Unai Emery will be confident of inflicting a fifth away defeat on Atletico, but the Rojiblancos are under pressure to ensure that they don't fall further behind Valencia in the league table.

Iago Aspas is missing with a hamstring problem, while goalkeeper Beto is unlikely to be fit after missing the past few weeks with concussion.
