Benteke's last goal for the club came on Saturday as Villa earned a 2-2 draw at Liverpool in the Premier League.

"It is good that Christian is scoring again," Vlaar told the club's official website.

"It has not been easy for him the last few months but he scored against Arsenal and he scored again on Saturday so it is starting to come to him again now."
