Christian Benteke's agent reveals that the striker is "disgusted" by reports that he will do everything he can to leave Aston Villa this summer.

Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke's agent has swiftly denied that the forward would do anything in his power to leave the club in the summer.

Reports have quoted the Belgium international as saying that he would not "necessarily accept" Villa's decision to force him to stay at the Midlands outfit, suggesting that he could be interested in a switch to Arsenal.

Following the reports, Benteke's agent Eris Kismet has rejected suggestions that the forward would cause any trouble for the Premier League outfit.

"Christian and I are surprised and disgusted by a story in The Sun newspaper claiming Benteke can do what he wants," Kismet told Sky Sports News. "He has been misquoted. The true line is that Christian does not want to make a war with Aston Villa.

"He has called me today from New York and he is disgusted, I have told him not to speak to any media from now on. If there is interest, which is normal after the season he has had, no way will problems be made by Christian and myself. That is what he said in the interview!"

Benteke's current contract at Villa Park runs until 2016.
