Arsene Wenger 'hopeful' on new Arsenal signings

Arsene Wenger says that he might have to add new faces to his squad before the transfer window shuts.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that he may have to dip into the transfer market following Tuesday's 2-2 draw against Southampton.

Mathieu Flamini received a red card for a challenge on Morgan Schneiderlin and will be suspended for three matches, while Santi Cazorla went off injured.

Wenger also revealed after the match that Aaron Ramsey has suffered a setback in his recovery.

With injuries and suspensions beginning to hit his squad, Wenger admits that he could bring new players to the Emirates Stadium.

"I have nothing to tell you tonight, maybe I hope we have something to tell you because we lost a few players now," Wenger told Sky Sports News.

The Gunners have been linked with moves for Yoann Gourcuff and Julian Draxler.
