Hector Moreno 'keen on summer Arsenal switch'

Arsenal are reportedly favourites to sign Espanyol defender Hector Moreno.

Hector Moreno is reportedly willing to turn down offers from Tottenham Hotspur in order to join Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal were thought to be considering a January bid for the Espanyol defender, but Metro cites reports in Spain suggesting that the Gunners have rekindled their interest in the centre-back.

Furthermore, the North London outfit are now believed to be favourites for Moreno's signature after the £15m-rated Mexican international apparently set his heart on a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger's side have been repeatedly linked with a move for Moreno and are said to have had the defender watched by scouts on a number of occasions.

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table, nine points behind Chelsea.
