Joel Campbell delighted with Villarreal loan move

Joel Campbell reveals his delight after joining Villarreal on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the season.

Joel Campbell has revealed that he cannot wait to begin life with Villarreal after joining the Spanish club on loan from Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has been expected to gain regular football at the Emirates this season following an impressive 2014 World Cup for Costa Rica.

However, Campbell has not started a single Premier League match for the English side this season and will now spend the rest of the campaign on loan with the Yellow Submarine.

"Playing at Villarreal for the rest of the season means a lot to me. I'm very happy for this opportunity," the striker is quoted as saying on his official website.

"They have a defined way of playing and it will be a pleasure as they are a great team that is well placed in the table. They have a style of play that will suit me.

"I hope I can settle in as quickly as possible and I am able to prove my worth. I can only say I'll give 200% in an attempt to win over the fans. I can do it through hard work and that is my intention."

Campbell has experience of La Liga having represented Real Betis on loan during the 2012-13 season.
