Arsenal reportedly identify Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno as a possible replacement for Petr Cech, but could face competition from Napoli and Liverpool.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno as his number one choice to replace Petr Cech.

The Gunners are expected to be in the market for a new shot-stopper this summer following a string of errors from Cech, who has made more mistakes leading directly to goals than any other player in the Premier League this season.

The 35-year-old is not expected to retire at the end of the season, but Arsenal are searching for possible replacements and have reportedly earmarked Leno as their first choice.

Leno has also been linked with a move to Liverpool - who are looking to upgrade from Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet this summer - while Napoli are likely to provide further competition for his signature.

However, Napoli are reportedly only willing to offer £15m for the Germany international, meaning that Arsenal could land his services with a £25m bid.

Leno has started all 31 of Leverkusen's matches across all competitions this season.
