Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could move for Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Schalke star Julian Draxler, according to The Metro.

The Gunners boss is understood to be keen to add some creativity to his midfield following lacklustre displays from Russian winger Andrei Arshavin, who is expected to leave the Emirates this summer.

That should create room in Wenger's squad and he has reportedly targeted 18-year-old Draxler as the player to fit the bill.

Draxler has made 48 appearances for the German club, scoring six goals.
