Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirms that David Beckham will train with the Gunners but the club are not interested in signing the midfielder.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club will not try to sign free agent David Beckham.

The 37-year-old, who left Los Angeles Galaxy in December, will begin training with the Gunners this week in a bid to keep up his fitness following his return to England.

"There's no speculation about signing or anything," Wenger said in a press conference. "I believe that he has come here purely for fitness purposes."

Beckham, who has had stints at Real Madrid and AC Milan, is expected to make a final decision on his future this week.
