Theo Walcott: 'We are in a good place'

Arsenal midfielder Theo Walcott says that his side are "in a good place" after they defeated Stoke City to go top of the Premier League.

Arsenal midfielder Theo Walcott has heaped praise upon his side after they saw off Stoke City to go top of the Premier League table.

Goals from Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi handed the Gunners all three points at the Emirates to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 14 games and usurp Chelsea, who play on Sunday, at the summit.

"It's a good three points, really important," Walcott told BBC Sport after the match. "I think when you put on an Arsenal shirt on you should be breeding confidence.

"It is the best team I have ever been involved in, the fans are part of that, we want to do well for them and well for each other. That comes down to hard work and you get rewarded for it in the end.

"Everything about this club is in a good place at the moment."

Arsenal next travel to Everton on Tuesday night as part of a midweek round of Premier League fixtures.
