Jack Wilshere "disappointed" not to win

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere admits that he is "disappointed" not to have secured a win against Manchester City.

Jack Wilshere has admitted that he was "disappointed" not to come away with the win after Arsenal shared a draw with Manchester City this afternoon.

The Gunners led heading into the final 10 minutes following goals from Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez, but Martin Demichelis found the equaliser for the Premier League champions late on.

The midfielder told BT Sport: "I'm getting fitter and fitter as the games go on, I recovered well after the England game and we felt fresh which I think we saw in the way we started.

"In another game I might have given away a penalty, but there was nothing deliberate in it. I think we showed great character to come back from 1-0 down, but at 2-1 up we are disappointed not to win."

The result left Arsenal seventh in the Premier League table ahead of this afternoon's kickoffs.
