Arsene Wenger: 'Thierry Henry return not impossible'

Arsene Wenger admits that it is "not impossible" for Thierry Henry to return to the club in a coaching capacity.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that speculation surrounding a possible return for Thierry Henry isn't far-fetched.

The club's record goalscorer has been linked with a move back to his former side in a coaching capacity.

The Frenchman's MLS career with the New York Red Bulls is drawing to a close and Wenger reveals that a job could be available for the striker at the Emirates.

"It's not something that's current," the 65-year-old said, according to Goal.com. "And then, there must be a post available. For the moment, that's not the case. But it's not impossible.

"He is intelligent and passionate about football. It's a good base to be a great player, but there are many other ingredients. But yes, he could be a very good manager.

"He understands quickly, he understands the play. He has a good nature and is a nice manner with people. He has all the qualities. But it's a choice that must come profoundly from the inside, because it's a lifestyle choice."

Henry scored 227 goals for the Gunners during his first spell with the club, and once in a FA Cup tie against Leeds during his return on loan.
