Arsene Wenger 'delays signing new Arsenal contract until end of season'

Arsene Wenger reportedly delays signing a new Arsenal contract until the end of the season in order to solely focus on matters on the pitch.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly decided to wait until the season comes to a close before putting pen to paper on a new contract.

The Frenchman has been expected to agree fresh terms for some time, but the North London outfit are yet to announce any concrete details regarding a new deal.

While the club are confident that Wenger will extend his stay at the Emirates, it is understood that he will wait until the summer as he does not want contract negotiations to get in the way of his match preparations, according to The Telegraph.

The Gunners could end their nine-year wait for silverware as they currently sit four points adrift of top spot in the Premier League table, and are two wins away from lifting the FA Cup.
