Arsene Wenger: 'Chelsea game is not about my relationship with Jose Mourinho'

Arsene Wenger says that this Sunday's match between Arsenal and Chelsea should not be about his rivalry with fellow manager Jose Mourinho.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stressed that he does not want Sunday's Premier League showdown against Chelsea to be dominated by his relationship with Jose Mourinho.

The duo have clashed in the past, and tensions between the two were caught in full view of TV cameras when they shoved one another on the touchline during the Gunners' 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge back in October.

In an attempt to keep the focus on the game itself, Wenger has played down suggestions of a rift between the two coaches.

"Sunday's match is not about the relationship between managers - it is about watching a good game," Wenger said in this morning's press conference.

"Chelsea are the most consistent team. [They are] defensively strong. We will adapt to whatever they do and find a solution to every problem we face."

Arsenal's impressive form of late has pushed the club to second in the table, but a title charge doesn't appear to be on the cards as Chelsea have a 10-point lead at the top.
