Arsenal striker Theo Walcott brands criticism of Arsene Wenger "not fair".

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott has called on his teammates to take the pressure off under-fire manager Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners boss has been heavily criticised for his side's performances this season, but Walcott has insisted that Wenger should not take the blame.

"If we don't perform he always takes it back on himself, but at times it is not fair because we are the players that go out there and do it," the England international told the club's official magazine.

The Gunners currently occupy fifth spot in the Premier League table.
