Louis van Gaal is reportedly interested in succeeding Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager, if the Frenchman leaves the Gunners.

Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal is reportedly waiting to see if Arsene Wenger commits his future to Arsenal before deciding which job he will take next season.

The ex-Barcelona manager has been heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur, while Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward was reported to have met the Dutchman, a rumour the club later denied.

However, The People claims that Van Gaal is looking to keep his options open and would be interested in the Gunners job if Wenger decides to leave the club.

Arsenal reached the FA Cup final after overcoming Championship side Wigan Athletic on penalties at Wembley.
