Former Valencia manager Marcelino has reportedly arrived in London amid reports suggesting that he could become Arsenal's next permanent manager.
Reports have suggested that Marcelino, who was sacked by Valencia in September, is viewed as a candidate for the position at the Emirates.
According to Superdeporte, Marcelino landed in London on Sunday morning and is 'close to taking up a new project'.
Several reports claim that Arsenal, owing to budget restrictions, will not appoint an elite manager and instead opt for an in-house appointment, with Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta favourites for the role.
Marcelino enjoyed a successful time with Valencia, qualifying for the Champions League in successive seasons and winning the Copa del Rey in May.body check tags ::
