Joel Campbell 'wants to stay and win trophies at Arsenal'

Joel Campbell's agent says that the forward wants to stay at Arsenal and win trophies with the club after scoring his first Gunners goal.

Joel Campbell's agent has revealed that the forward wants to stay at Arsenal and help the club to win trophies after scoring his first goal for the Gunners.

Campbell joined the London club in 2011 but has spent almost the entirety of the last four years out on loan, with spells at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos and Villarreal.

However, after the Costa Rican found the net in his first Premier League start in the 3-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday, his agent Joaqium Batica said that the 23-year-old sees his future as being at the Emirates Stadium for the long term.

"Joel wants to be successful with Arsenal and wants to stay," Batica told The Metro.

"He was very happy after scoring his first Premier League goal, and he just wants to be successful and win trophies for Arsenal. That is all that he is focused on."

Campbell's start at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday was just his 16th appearance for the club.
