Francis Coquelin: 'We need to be consistent if we want to win the title'

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin says that the team need to be consistent if they want to win the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal defender Francis Coquelin has claimed that the team need to be consistent in order to launch a serious challenge for the Premier League title.

The Gunners are currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Manchester City following five victories, one draw and two defeats.

Arsene Wenger's side impressed at the weekend by claiming a convincing 3-0 victory over Manchester United at the Emirates, with Alexis Sanchez scoring twice and Mesut Ozil also finding the back of the net.

"We said it from the beginning of the season that we could be contenders but we have to be consistent," Coquelin told the club's official website. "I think the most difficult thing now is to carry on getting the results.

"In the last three games we haven't lost against Manchester United. Slowly we are getting stronger against the big teams. We beat Manchester City last season and now Manchester United so I think it is all about consistency. They made this game tough and the small teams are really strong as well and we need to get a result every week."

After the international break, Arsenal will face Watford at Vicarage Road.
