Jack Wilshere to miss West Ham United game with injury?

Arsenal are reportedly set to be without midfielder Jack Wilshere against West Ham United next weekend.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will rest midfielder Jack Wilshere for the opening Premier League game of the season, according to reports.

The England international missed the Gunners' Community Shield success against Chelsea with a slight ankle injury he suffered in training.

Wenger insisted that the injury would keep him out for only a couple of days, but the Daily Mail claims that Wilshere will not feature against West Ham United next Sunday.

Wilshere will have a scan tomorrow, where the true extent of the problem will be revealed.
