Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger "aware" of Arsenal threat

Bastian Schweinsteiger admits that Bayern Munich will not find it easy against Arsenal in the Champions League, but remains confident of a win in the first leg.

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger believes that winning against Arsenal in the Champions League will be "a very big test".

The defending European champions will take on the Gunners in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

"Arsenal have led the Premier League in England for a lot of this season – so we are aware it will be a very big test," The Mirror quotes the 29-year-old as saying.

"We got a very good result in London last season – but I think Arsenal are much improved now.

"We want to retain the Champions League and believe that another positive result in London is very possible if we play at the level we are capable of."

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League, while Bayern are 16 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
