Maxi Rodriguez: 'Argentina will fight for World Cup glory'

Argentina midfielder Maxi Rodriguez warns Germany that they should expect a "fight" during Sunday's World Cup final.

Argentina midfielder Maxi Rodriguez has claimed that he and his teammates will "fight" to win Sunday's World Cup final against Germany.

The South Americans reached the final thanks to a penalty-shootout victory over the Netherlands on Wednesday night.

Rodriguez has now warned the Germans that they are in for a tough encounter when the sides face off in Rio de Janeiro tomorrow evening.

"There is nothing more important to us than making history in this shirt," he told FIFA.com. "We've all dreamed of being world champions and now we are within striking distance of doing it. We're going to fight to make it happen."

Rodgriguez scored the winning penalty for Argentina during their semi-final triumph over the Dutch.
