Serie A club-by-club transfer latest: July 17

Sports Mole takes a look at the latest transfer news and speculation from Serie A.

With just a few weeks left until the start of the season, clubs across Europe have been busy preparing their squads for the challenges ahead.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the latest rumours from Serie A and the deals that have already been completed this summer.

AC Milan

In the past week AC Milan have completed the signing of defender Adil Rami from Valencia. The French international was on loan at the San Siro last season and a deal has finally been reached between the clubs for his transfer.

The Rossoneri have also been linked with moves for Domenico Criscito and Nani, while there has been no shortage of rumours regarding Mario Balotelli's future.

Atalanta

It seems as though Atalanta could be set to lose Italy international Giacomo Bonaventura. The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign in Serie A last season and is reportedly on the verge of a move to Fiorentina.

As part of the transfer, it is expected that Polish youngster Rafal Wolski will move in the opposite direction on loan.

Cagliari

Inter Milan youngster Lorenzo Crisetig has joined Cagliari on loan this week. He becomes the third player to arrive from the Nerazzurri this summer after Samuele Longo and Simone Benedetti.

They have also signed highly-rated goalkeeper Alessio Cragno from Brescia and winger Caio Rangel from Flamengo, while veteran midfielder Andrea Cossu has agreed to a new one-year contract extension.

Cesena

Romanian international Constantin Nica has joined Cesena on loan from Atalanta. The 21-year-old made seven appearances during his first season in Serie A and will play for the Seahorses over the next campaign.

In the past week the club have been linked with a move for Milan's Andrea Petagna, but Leeds United are also said to be interested in the striker.

Chievo

It is believed that Chievo are interested in signing Torino midfielder Alessandro Gazzi.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from Turin this summer and fresh reports in the Italian press have claimed that the Gialloblu are preparing a bid.

Empoli

As they prepare for their first season back in the top flight, Empoli have added to their squad with the loan signing of goalkeeper Luigi Sepe from Napoli.

The 23-year-old has been loaned out to Pisa and Virtus Lanciano over the past two seasons and has played for Italy at Under-18 and Under-19 level.

Fiorentina

Australia international Joshua Brillante has joined Fiorentina from Newcastle Jets this week. They are also closing in on the signing of Giacomo Bonaventura, while Gonzalo Rodriguez and Borja Valero have extended their contracts with the Viola.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella has said that he is unsure whether Juan Cuadrado will stay at the club and it appears that Mikel Arteta will not be moving to Florence, after the Spaniard admitted that he is happy at Arsenal.

Genoa

Alessandro Matri has completed his loan move to Genoa, following the departure of Alberto Gilardino last week. The club have also signed defender Armando Izzo from Serie B side Avellino.

One player who could be leaving is Giovanni Marchese. The full-back impressed for the Rossoblu last season and has been linked with Fiorentina and Napoli.

Hellas Verona

While Juan Iturbe's transfer to Roma has dominated the headlines, it hasn't stopped Hellas Verona from adding to their squad with no fewer than four new signings this week. The biggest name to arrive has been Romulo, who joins on permanent basis following a successful spell on loan from Fiorentina last season.

Meanwhile, Mounir Obbadi and Mattia Valoti have both joined on loan from Monaco and Albinoleffe respectively, and youngster Lorenzo Ferrari has completed a permanent move from Milan.

Inter Milan

Inter Milan have signed long-term target Yann M'Vila on loan from Rubin Kazan. The 24-year-old midfielder will spend the next season at the San Siro, with an option to make the move permanent.

The club continue to be linked with moves for Gary Medel and Rolando, but they have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Nigel de Jong from rivals Milan, who have rejected their enquiry for the midfielder.

Juventus

The big news for Juventus this week has been the resignation of manager Antonio Conte. He guided the Bianconeri to three consecutive league titles during his time in Turin, but it is believed that he did not agree with the club over their plans in the transfer market. He has quickly been replaced by Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked by Milan midway through the last campaign.

In other news, Arturo Vidal has continued to be strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, but the player himself has admitted that he is happy to stay at the Italian champions.

Lazio

Lazio are reportedly on the verge of signing Davide Astori from Cagliari. It is believed that the player himself is keen on a move to Rome and the two clubs are in talks over his transfer.

Meanwhile, Federico Marchetti could be leaving the Stadio Olimpico, with reports claiming that Milan have offered €7.5m (£5.93m) plus Michael Agazzi for the goalkeeper. Keita Balde Diao won't be going anywhere this summer though, as the 19-year-old has extended his contract with the Biancocelesti until 2018.

Napoli

Michu has constantly been linked with a move to Napoli this summer, and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that negotiations with Swansea City are taking place for his transfer.

The Naples outfit have been linked with moves for Antonio Candreva and Cristoph Kramer in the past week, but Diego Lopez is unlikely to join after his agent revealed that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid.

Palermo

Serie A new boys Palermo have signed Bulgarian midfielder Ivaylo Chochev from CSKA Sofia for a reported fee of €2m (£1.58m). The 21-year-old has played for his country at Under-21 level and has signed a three-year contract with the club.

In other news, the Rosanero are said to be keen on bringing Parma striker Amauri back to Sicily, while midfielder Adam Simon has joined Hungarian club Videoton after being released on a free transfer.

Parma

Antonio Cassano has been linked with a move back to his former club Sampdoria this week. His time at the Blucerchiati ended following a row with the previous chairman, but a birthday message posted on the club's Twitter account has hinted at a possible return.

A potential arrival this summer could be Real Madrid Castilla midfielder Alexandro Daniel Toscano. The 18-year-old has been part of the Madrid youth setup for the past two seasons, but reports have suggested that Parma will battle it out with Verona and Bari for his signature.

Roma

In what has been the biggest transfer to date in Serie A this summer, Roma have completed the signing of Juan Iturbe from Hellas Verona. The 21-year-old had looked set for a move to Juventus, but the Giallorossi have won the battle for his signature and have paid €22m (£17.4m) for his services.

The arrival of Iturbe has cast doubt over the future of Adem Ljajic, with Schalke 04, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund all reportedly interested in the Serbian international. Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed the signing of Urby Emanuelson. The Netherlands international has joined on a free transfer after being released by Milan.

Sampdoria

Walter Samuel had looked set for a move to Sampdoria, but the Argentine has reportedly turned down the club's contract offer.

However, they could be set to swoop for Greek international Georgios Samaras, who was released by Celtic at the end of last season, while a deal for Inter midfielder Alfred Duncan is close.

Sassuolo

According to reports in the Italian press, Sassuolo have agreed a deal with Genoa to sign Croatian international Sime Vrsaljko. The full-back has been strongly linked with Milan and Fiorentina this summer, but it appears that the Neroverdi have won the race for his signature.

They are also reportedly interested in signing Kuban Krasnodar forward Gonzalo Bueno, but Jasmin Kurtic could be leaving, with Fiorentina said to have made an offer for the Slovenian international.

Torino

One player who seems to be linked with a move away from Torino each week has been Alessio Cerci. The Italian international is said to be on Milan and Atletico Madrid's radar, but various reports in Italy over the past seven days have claimed that Monaco are preparing a bid for his services.

Fabio Quagliarella is reportedly on the verge of completing a move from Juventus, while it is also believed that the club are interested in signing Cagliari striker Marco Sau.

Udinese

Mali international Molla Wague has joined Udinese on loan from Ligue 1 outfit Caen in the last week, while Alexander Merkel has been loaned to Grasshoppers for the forthcoming season.

Simone Scuffet continues to be linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, although Chelsea are said to have made a £5m offer for the goalkeeper, while Argentine midfielder Roberto Pereyra is reportedly a target of Inter.
